Moses Commands Obedience
1“And now, O Israel, listen to athe statutes and the rules ▼▼Or just decrees; also verses 5, 8, 14, 45
that I am teaching you, and do them, cthat you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you. Deuteronomy 4:5
5See, I have taught you statutes and rules, as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do them in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.Deuteronomy 4:40
40 dTherefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, ethat it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”Deuteronomy 6:1

—that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, Psalms 105:45
