Moses Commands Obedience

1“And now, O Israel, listen to athe statutes and the rules
Or just decrees; also verses 5, 8, 14, 45
that I am teaching you, and do them, cthat you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
2 dYou shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.

Deuteronomy 4:5

5See, I have taught you statutes and rules, as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do them in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

45These are the testimonies, the statutes, and the rules, which Moses spoke to the people of Israel when they came out of Egypt,

1“Now this is ethe commandment—the statutes and the rules

that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it,
2that gyou may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son’s son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and hthat your days may be long.
