Deuteronomy 4:15-18

Idolatry Forbidden

15 a“Therefore watch yourselves very carefully. Since byou saw no form on the day that the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16beware clest you act corruptly dby making a carved image for yourselves, in the form of any figure, ethe likeness of male or female, 17the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water under the earth.

Deuteronomy 5:8

8“‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

Psalms 115:5-8

5They have mouths, fbut do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8 gThose who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them.

Psalms 135:15-18

Isaiah 40:18

Isaiah 40:26

26Lift up your eyes on high and see:
who created these?
kHe who brings out their host by number,

by the greatness of his might
and because he is strong in power,
not one is missing.

Isaiah 44:13

13The carpenter stretches a line; he marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes and marks it with a compass. lHe shapes it into the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house.
