Deuteronomy 4:21-22

21Furthermore, athe Lord was angry with me because of you, and he swore that I should not cross the Jordan, and that I should not enter the good land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance. 22For I must die in this land; bI must not go over the Jordan. But you shall go over and take possession of cthat good land.

2 Chronicles 33:11-13

11 dTherefore the Lord brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and ebound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon. 12And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God fand humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13He prayed to him, and gGod was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. hThen Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.
