26 I ^acall heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you will soon utterly perish from the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess. You will not live long in it, but will be utterly destroyed. 27 And the Lord ^bwill scatter you among the peoples, ^cand you will be left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

Deuteronomy 31:17

17 Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and ^dI will forsake them and ^ehide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ^f‘Have not these evils come upon us because ^gour God is not among us?’

1 Samuel 23:17
