and chose that in which I did not delight.”

9And if the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, oI, the Lord, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 10And they shall bear their punishment
Or iniquity; three times in this verse
—the punishment of the prophet and the punishment of the inquirer shall be alike—
11that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor qdefile themselves anymore with all their transgressions, rbut that they may be my people and I may be their God, declares the Lord God.”

Romans 1:21-28

21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they xbecame futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 yClaiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and zexchanged the glory of aathe immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

24Therefore abGod gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to acthe dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for ada lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, aewho is blessed forever! Amen.

26For this reason afGod gave them up to agdishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, ahmen committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, aiGod gave them up to aja debased mind to do akwhat ought not to be done.
