Deuteronomy 4:32-38

The Lord Alone Is God

32For aask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. 33 bDid any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? 34Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, cby signs, by wonders, and dby war, eby a mighty hand and fan outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35To you it was shown, gthat you might know that the Lord is God; hthere is no other besides him. 36 iOut of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and jyou heard his words out of the midst of the fire. 37And because khe loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them
Hebrew his offspring after him
and brought you out of Egypt mwith his own presence, by his great power,
38 ndriving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day,

Joshua 3:14-17

14So when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan with the priests bearing othe ark of the covenant before the people, 15and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and pthe feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now qthe Jordan overflows all its banks rthroughout the time of harvest), 16the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside sZarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea of tthe Arabah, uthe Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho. 17Now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, vand all Israel was passing over on dry ground until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.

Joshua 6:20

20So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and wthe wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city.

Joshua 10:13-14

13And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped,
until the nation took vengeance on their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.
14 xThere has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for ythe Lord fought for Israel.

Psalms 78:12-72

12In the sight of their fathers zhe performed wonders
in the land of Egypt, in aathe fields of Zoan.
13He abdivided the sea and let them pass through it,
and made the waters acstand like a heap.
14 adIn the daytime he led them with a cloud,
and all the night with a fiery light.
15He aesplit rocks in the wilderness
and gave them drink abundantly as from the deep.
16He made streams come out of afthe rock
and caused waters to flow down like rivers.
17 Yet they sinned still more against him,
agrebelling against the Most High in the desert.
18They ahtested God in their heart
by demanding the food they craved.
19They spoke against God, saying,
aiCan God ajspread a table in the wilderness?
20 akHe struck the rock so that water gushed out
and streams overflowed.
Can he also give bread
or provide meat for his people?”
21 Therefore, when the Lord heard, he was full of wrath;
ala fire was kindled against Jacob;
his anger rose against Israel,
22because they amdid not believe in God
and did not trust his saving power.
23Yet he commanded the skies above
and anopened the doors of heaven,
24and he aorained down on them manna to eat
and gave them apthe grain of heaven.
25Man ate of the bread of aqthe angels;
he sent them food arin abundance.
26He ascaused the east wind to blow in the heavens,
and by his power he led out the south wind;
27he rained meat on them like atdust,
winged birds like authe sand of the seas;
28he avlet them fall in the midst of their camp,
all around their dwellings.
29And they awate and were well filled,
for he gave them what they axcraved.
30But before they had satisfied their craving,
aywhile the food was still in their mouths,
31the anger of God rose against them,
and he killed azthe strongest of them
and laid low bathe young men of Israel.
32 In spite of all this, they bbstill sinned;
bcdespite his wonders, they did not believe.
33So he made bdtheir days bevanish like
Hebrew in
a breath,
Or vapor

and their years in terror.
34When he killed them, they bhsought him;
they repented and sought God earnestly.
35They remembered that God was their birock,
the Most High God their bjredeemer.
36But they bkflattered him with their mouths;
they bllied to him with their tongues.
37Their bmheart was not bnsteadfast toward him;
they were not faithful to his covenant.
38Yet he, being bocompassionate,
bpatoned for their iniquity
and did not destroy them;
he restrained his anger often
and did not stir up all his wrath.
39He bqremembered that they were but brflesh,
bsa wind that passes and comes not again.
40How often they btrebelled against him in the wilderness
and bugrieved him in bvthe desert!
41They bwtested God again and again
and provoked bxthe Holy One of Israel.
42They bydid not remember his power
Hebrew hand

or the day when he redeemed them from the foe,
43 cawhen he performed his cbsigns in Egypt
and his ccmarvels in cdthe fields of Zoan.
44He ceturned their rivers to blood,
so that they could not drink of their streams.
45He sent among them swarms of cfflies, which devoured them,
and cgfrogs, which destroyed them.
46He gave their crops to chthe destroying locust
and the fruit of their labor to the locust.
47He destroyed their vines with cihail
and their sycamores with frost.
48He gave over their cjcattle to the hail
and their flocks to thunderbolts.
49He let loose on them his burning anger,
wrath, indignation, and distress,
a company of ckdestroying angels.
50He made a path for his anger;
he did not spare them from death,
but gave their lives over to the plague.
51He struck down every clfirstborn in Egypt,
the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of cmHam.
52Then he led out his people cnlike sheep
and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 coHe led them in safety, so that they cpwere not afraid,
but cqthe sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54And he brought them to his crholy land,
csto the mountain which his right hand had ctwon.
55He cudrove out nations before them;
he cvapportioned them for a possession
and settled the tribes of Israel in their tents.
56 Yet they cwtested and cxrebelled against the Most High God
and did not keep his testimonies,
57but turned away and acted treacherously like their fathers;
they twisted like cya deceitful bow.
58For they czprovoked him to anger with their dahigh places;
they dbmoved him to jealousy with their dcidols.
59When God heard, he was full of ddwrath,
and he utterly rejected Israel.
60He deforsook his dwelling at dfShiloh,
the tent where he dwelt among mankind,
61and delivered his dgpower to captivity,
his dhglory to the hand of the foe.
62He digave his people over to the sword
and djvented his wrath on his heritage.
63 dkFire devoured their young men,
and their young women had no dlmarriage song.
64Their dmpriests fell by the sword,
and their dnwidows made no lamentation.
65Then the Lord doawoke as from sleep,
like a strong man shouting because of wine.
66And he dpput his adversaries to rout;
he put them to everlasting shame.
67 He rejected the tent of dqJoseph;
he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,
68but he chose the tribe of Judah,
Mount Zion, which he drloves.
69He dsbuilt his sanctuary like the high heavens,
like the earth, which he has founded forever.
70He dtchose David his servant
and took him from the sheepfolds;
71from dufollowing the nursing ewes he brought him
to dvshepherd Jacob his people,
Israel his dwinheritance.
72With dxupright heart he shepherded them
and dyguided them with his skillful hand.

Psalms 105:27-45

27 dzThey performed his signs among them
and miracles in eathe land of Ham.
28He ebsent darkness, and made the land dark;
they ecdid not rebel
Septuagint, Syriac omit  not
against his words.
29He turned their waters into blood
and eecaused their fish to die.
30Their land swarmed with frogs,
even in efthe chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and there came egswarms of flies,
ehand gnats throughout their country.
32He gave them hail for rain,
and fiery eilightning bolts through their land.
33He struck down their vines and fig trees,
and ejshattered the trees of their country.
34He spoke, and the eklocusts came,
young locusts without number,
35which devoured all the vegetation in their land
and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36He elstruck down all the firstborn in their land,
emthe firstfruits of all their strength.
37 Then he brought out Israel with ensilver and gold,
and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
38 eoEgypt was glad when they departed,
for epdread of them had fallen upon it.
39 He eqspread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light by night.
40 erThey asked, and he esbrought quail,
and gave them etbread from heaven in abundance.
41He opened the rock, and euwater gushed out;
it flowed through evthe desert like a river.
42For he ewremembered his holy promise,
and exAbraham, his servant.
43 So he brought his people out with joy,
his eychosen ones with ezsinging.
44And he fagave them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,
45that they might fbkeep his statutes
and fcobserve his laws.
