Deuteronomy 4:6

6 aKeep them and do them, for bthat will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’

Deuteronomy 32:28-29

28 For they are a nation void of counsel,
and there is cno understanding in them.
29 dIf they were wise, they would understand this;
they would ediscern their latter end!

Isaiah 1:3

3The ox fknows its owner,
and the donkey its master’s crib,
but Israel does gnot know,
my people do not understand.”

Isaiah 44:18-20

Jeremiah 4:22

22 For lmy people are foolish;
they know me not;
they are stupid children;
they have no understanding.
mThey are ‘wise’—in doing evil!
But how to do good they know not.”

Jeremiah 5:4-5

4 Then I said, “These are only the poor;
they have no sense;
nfor they do not know the way of the Lord,
the justice of their God.
5I will go to the great
and will speak to them,
for they know the way of the Lord,
the justice of their God.”
oBut they all alike had broken the yoke;
they had burst the bonds.

Jeremiah 5:21-22

21Hear this, pO foolish and senseless people,
qwho have eyes, but see not,
who have ears, but hear not.
22 rDo you not fear me? declares the Lord.
Do you not tremble before me?
I placed the sand sas the boundary for the sea,
a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass;

7Even the stork in the heavens
knows her times,
and uthe turtledove, vswallow, and crane
The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain

keep the time of their coming,
xbut my people know not
the rules
Or just decrees
of the Lord.

Hosea 4:6

6My people are destroyed zfor lack of knowledge;
aabecause you have rejected knowledge,
I reject you abfrom being a priest to me.
And since you have forgotten the law of your God,
acI also will forget your children.
