Deuteronomy 4:7-8

7For awhat great nation is there that has ba god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him? 8And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so crighteous as all this law that I set before you today?

Deuteronomy 4:34-36

34Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, dby signs, by wonders, and eby war, fby a mighty hand and gan outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35To you it was shown, hthat you might know that the Lord is God; ithere is no other besides him. 36 jOut of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and kyou heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

Psalms 48:1-3

Zion, the City of Our God

A Song. A Psalm of lthe Sons of Korah.

1 mGreat is the Lord and greatly to be praised
in nthe city of our God!
His oholy mountain,
2 pbeautiful in elevation,
is qthe joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
rthe city of the great King.
3Within her citadels God
has made himself known as a fortress.

Psalms 147:19-20

19He declares his word to Jacob,
his sstatutes and rules
Or  and just decrees
to Israel.
20He uhas not dealt thus with any other nation;
they do not know his rules.
Or  his just decrees

wPraise the Lord!

Acts 17:23

23For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, x‘To the unknown god.’ yWhat therefore you worship zas unknown, this I proclaim to you.

Romans 2:17-29

17But if you call yourself a Jew and aarely on the law and boast in God 18and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed from the law; 19and if you are sure that you yourself are aba guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law acthe embodiment of adknowledge and truth 21 aeyou then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you afrob temples? 23You who agboast in the law ahdishonor God by breaking the law. 24For, aias it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed ajamong the Gentiles because of you.”

25For circumcision indeed is of value akif you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. 26So, if ala man who is uncircumcised keeps amthe precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded
Or counted
as circumcision?
27Then he who is physically
Or  is by nature
uncircumcised but keeps the law apwill condemn you who have aqthe written code
Or  the letter
and circumcision but break the law.
28For asno one is a Jew atwho is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 29But a Jew is one auinwardly, and avcircumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. awHis praise is not from man but from God.

Romans 3:1-2

God’s Righteousness Upheld

1Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? 2Much in every way. To begin with, axthe Jews were entrusted with aythe oracles of God.
