Deuteronomy 5:12-15

12“‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. 13Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14but athe seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, bthat your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15 cYou shall remember that you were a slave
Or servant
in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there ewith a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

Isaiah 56:2-6

2Blessed is the man who does this,
and the son of man who holds it fast,
fwho keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it,
and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
3 Let not gthe foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say,
“The Lord will surely separate me from his people”;
and let not the eunuch say,
Behold, I am ha dry tree.”
4For thus says the Lord:
“To the eunuchs iwho keep my Sabbaths,
who choose the things that please me
and hold fast my covenant,
5 jI will give in my house and within my walls
a kmonument and a name
better than sons and daughters;
lI will give them an everlasting name
that shall not be cut off.
6 “And mthe foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,
to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord,
and to be his servants,
everyone nwho keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it,
and holds fast my covenant

Isaiah 58:13

13 oIf you turn back your foot from the Sabbath,
from doing your pleasure
Or business
on my holy day,
and call the Sabbath a delight
and the holy day of the Lord honorable;
if you honor it, not going your own ways,
or seeking qyour own pleasure,
Or pursuing your own business
or talking idly;
Hebrew  or speaking a word

Ezekiel 20:12

12Moreover, I gave them tmy Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, uthat they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Ezekiel 20:20-21

20and vkeep my Sabbaths holy that wthey may be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.' 21 xBut the children yrebelled against me. zThey did not walk in my statutes and were not careful to obey my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my Sabbaths.

Ezekiel 22:8

8 abYou have despised my holy things and acprofaned my Sabbaths.

Luke 6:5

5And he said to them, ad“The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

Luke 23:56

56Then they returned and aeprepared spices and ointments.

On the Sabbath they rested afaccording to the commandment.
