2 aThe Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 bNot with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today.

The Covenant Renewed in Moab

These are the words of the covenant that the Lord commanded Moses to make with the people of Israel din the land of Moab, besides ethe covenant that he had made with them at Horeb.

And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: g“You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land,
3the great htrials that your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders. 4But to this day ithe Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear. 5 jI have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn off your feet. 6 kYou have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine or strong drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 7And when you came to this place, lSihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came out against us to battle, but we defeated them. 8We took their land and mgave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites. 9 nTherefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper

10“You are standing today, all of you, before the Lord your God: the heads of your tribes,
Septuagint, Syriac; Hebrew your heads, your tribes
your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel,
11your little ones, your wives, and the qsojourner who is in your camp, from rthe one who chops your wood to the one who draws your water, 12so that you may enter into the ssworn covenant of the Lord your God, which the Lord your God is making with you today, 13that he may testablish you today as his people, and that uhe may be your God, as he promised you, and vas he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 14It is not with you alone wthat I am making this sworn covenant, 15but with whoever is standing here with us today before the Lord our God, xand with whoever is not here with us today.

2 Kings 11:17

17And Jehoiada ymade a covenant between the Lord and the king and people, that they should be the Lord’s people, and also zbetween the king and the people.

2 Chronicles 15:12

12 aaAnd they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul,

2 Chronicles 15:14

14They swore an oath to the Lord with a loud voice and with shouting and with trumpets and with horns.

10Now abit is in my heart acto make a covenant with the Lord, the God of Israel, in order that his fierce anger may turn away from us.

2 Chronicles 34:31-32

31And the king adstood in his place aeand made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book. 32Then he made all who were present in Jerusalem and in Benjamin join in it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers.

Ezra 10:3

3Therefore aflet us make a covenant with our God to put away all these wives and agtheir children, according to the counsel of my lord

and of aithose who tremble at the commandment of our God, and let it be done ajaccording to the Law.
