Deuteronomy 6:10-12

10“And when the Lord your God brings you into the land that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you—with great and good cities athat you did not build, 11and houses full of all good things that you did not fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full, 12 bthen take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Deuteronomy 8:10-14

10And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

11“Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today, 12 clest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, 13and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14 dthen your heart be lifted up, and you eforget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,

Deuteronomy 31:20

20For when I have brought them into the land fflowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and ggrown fat, hthey will turn to other gods and serve them, and idespise me and jbreak my covenant.

Deuteronomy 32:15

15 “But kJeshurun grew fat, and lkicked;
myou grew fat, stout, and sleek;

and scoffed at pthe Rock of his salvation.

Nehemiah 9:25-26

25And they captured qfortified cities and ra rich land, and took possession of shouses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled tand became fat and delighted themselves in uyour great goodness.

26 v“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you wand cast your law behind their back xand killed your prophets, who yhad warned them in order to turn them back to you, zand they committed great blasphemies.

Job 31:24-28

24 aa“If I have made gold my abtrust
or called acfine gold my confidence,
25if I have adrejoiced because my wealth was abundant
or because aemy hand had found much,
26 afif I have looked at the sun
Hebrew  the light
when it shone,
or ahthe moon moving in splendor,
27and my heart has been secretly enticed,
and my mouth has kissed my hand,
28this also would be aian iniquity to be punished by the judges,
for I would have been false to God above.
