Deuteronomy 6:10-12

10“And when the Lord your God brings you into the land that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you—with great and good cities athat you did not build, 11and houses full of all good things that you did not fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full, 12 bthen take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

17Beware clest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’

16But when ehe was strong, fhe grew proud, to his destruction. For he was unfaithful to the Lord his God and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

2 Chronicles 32:25-26

25But Hezekiah gdid not make return according to the benefit done to him, for hhis heart was proud. Therefore iwrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem. 26But Hezekiah jhumbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.

Psalms 10:3-4

3For the wicked kboasts of the desires of his soul,
and the one greedy for gain lcurses
Or  and he blesses the one greedy for gain
and nrenounces the Lord.
4In the pride of his face
Or  of his anger
the wicked does not pseek him;
Or  the wicked says, “He will not call to account”

all his thoughts are, r“There is no God.”

Psalms 73:5-9

5They are not in trouble as others are;
they are not sstricken like the rest of mankind.
6Therefore pride is ttheir necklace;
violence covers them as ua garment.
7Their veyes swell out through fatness;
their hearts overflow with follies.
8They scoff and wspeak with malice;
loftily they threaten oppression.
9They set their mouths against the heavens,
and their tongue struts through the earth.
