11and houses full of all good things that you did not fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full, 12 athen take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Psalms 49:5-13

5 jWhy should I fear in ktimes of trouble,
when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,
6those who ltrust in their wealth
and boast of the abundance of their riches?
7Truly no man mcan ransom another,
or ngive to God othe price of his life,
8for pthe ransom of their life is costly
and can never suffice,
9that he should live on forever
and qnever see the pit.
10 For he sees rthat even the wise die;
sthe fool and the stupid alike must perish
and tleave their wealth to others.
11Their ugraves are their homes forever,
Septuagint, Syriac, Targum; Hebrew  Their inward thought was that their homes were forever

their dwelling places wto all generations,
though they xcalled lands by their own names.
12Man in his pomp ywill not remain;
zhe is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is the path of those who have aafoolish confidence;
yet after them people approve of their boasts.
Or and of those after them who approve of their boasts

he will snatch and adtear you from your tent;
he will uproot you from aethe land of the living.  Selah
6The righteous shall afsee and fear,

and sought refuge in his own destruction!”
Or  in his work of destruction
