Deuteronomy 6:11-12

11and houses full of all good things that you did not fill, and cisterns that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full, 12 athen take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Deuteronomy 8:13-14

13and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14 bthen your heart be lifted up, and you cforget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,

19You say, ‘See, I

have struck down Edom,’ and eyour heart has lifted you up in boastfulness. But now stay at home. Why should you provoke trouble so that you fall, you and Judah with you?”

2 Chronicles 32:23-25

23And many fbrought gifts to the Lord to Jerusalem and precious things to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations from that time onward.

Hezekiah’s Pride and Achievements

24 gIn those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death, and he prayed to the Lord, and he answered him and gave him a sign. 25But Hezekiah hdid not make return according to the benefit done to him, for ihis heart was proud. Therefore jwrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem.
