Deuteronomy 7:16

16And ayou shall consume all the peoples that the Lord your God will give over to you. bYour eye shall not pity them, neither shall you serve their gods, for that would be ca snare to you.

1 Samuel 14:44

1 Samuel 15:8-9

8And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive fand devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword. 9 gBut Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep and of the oxen and of the fattened calves
The meaning of the Hebrew term is uncertain
and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. All that was despised and worthless they devoted to destruction.

2 Kings 10:16
