Deuteronomy 7:6-8

6“For ayou are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be ba people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. 7It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, 8but cit is because the Lord loves you and is keeping dthe oath that he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Ruth 3:9

9He said, “Who are you?” And she answered, “I am Ruth, your servant. eSpread your wings

Isaiah 41:8-9

4Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life.

Isaiah 63:7-9

The Lord’s Mercy Remembered

7 I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord,
the praises of the Lord,
according to all that the Lord has granted us,
qand the great goodness to the house of Israel
that he has granted them according to his compassion,
according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
8For he said, “Surely they are my people,
children who will not deal falsely.”
And he became their Savior.
9 rIn all their affliction he was afflicted,
Or  he did not afflict

and the angel of his presence saved them;
tin his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
uhe lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Jeremiah 2:2-3

2Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the Lord,

“I remember the devotion of vyour youth,
your love was a bride,
xhow you followed me in the wilderness,
yin a land not sown.
3 zIsrael was holy to the Lord,
aathe firstfruits of his harvest.
abAll who ate of it incurred guilt;
disaster came upon them,

declares the Lord.”

Ezekiel 16:6

6“And when I passed by you and saw you wallowing acin your blood, I said to you adin your blood, ‘Live!’ I said to you aein your blood, ‘Live!’
