The Day of the Lord
6 For you have rejected your people,the house of Jacob,
because they are full of things bfrom the east
and cof fortune-tellers dlike the Philistines,
and they estrike hands with the children of foreigners.
Isaiah 2:8
8Their land is ffilled with idols;they bow down to gthe work of their hands,
to what their own fingers have made.
Isaiah 2:19
19 hAnd people shall enter the caves of the rocksand the holes of the ground, ▼
▼Hebrew dust
from before the terror of the Lord,
and from the splendor of his majesty,
jwhen he rises to terrify the earth.
Isaiah 8:19
19And when they say to you, “Inquire of the kmediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of lthe dead on behalf of the living?
