Deuteronomy 8:15-16

15 who ^aled you through the great and terrifying wilderness, ^bwith its fiery serpents and scorpions ^cand thirsty ground where there was no water, ^dwho brought you water out of the flinty rock, 16 who fed you in the wilderness with ^emanna that your fathers did not know, that he might humble you and test you, ^fto do you good in the end.

Nehemiah 9:19-21
