Ecclesiastes 2:24-25

24 aThere is nothing better for a person than that he should beat and drink and find enjoyment
Or  and make his soul see good
in his toil. This also, I saw, is dfrom the hand of God,
25for apart from him

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

12I perceived that there is fnothing better for them than to be joyful and to gdo good as long as they live; 13also hthat everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is iGod’s gift to man.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

18Behold, what I have seen to be jgood and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment
Or  and see good
in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his llot.
19Everyone also to whom mGod has given nwealth and possessions oand power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toilthis is pthe gift of God. 20For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart.

Ecclesiastes 9:7-10

Enjoy Life with the One You Love

7Go, qeat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

8 rLet your garments be always white. Let not soil be lacking on your head.

9Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your tvain
The Hebrew term hebel can refer to a “vapor” or “mere breath” (see note on 1:2)
life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your vportion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.
10Whatever your hand finds to do, wdo it with your might,
Or  finds to do with your might, do it
yfor there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

Ecclesiastes 11:2

2 zGive a portion to aaseven, or even to eight,
abfor you know not what disaster may happen on earth.

Ecclesiastes 11:9-10

9 acRejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. adWalk in the ways of your heart and aethe sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things afGod will bring you into judgment.

10Remove vexation from your heart, and agput away pain
Or evil
from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

Matthew 24:48-50

48But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master aiis delayed,’ 49and begins to beat his fellow servants
Greek bondservants
and eats and drinks with akdrunkards,
50the master of that servant will come alon a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know
