Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time for Everything

1 For everything there is a season, and ^aa time for every matter under heaven:

2 a time to be born, and a time to ^bdie;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to ^cweep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to ^ddance;
5 a time to ^ecast away stones, and a time to ^fgather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to ^grefrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to ^hlose;
a time to keep, and a time to ⁱcast away;
7 a time to ^jtear, and a time to sew;
a time to ^kkeep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to ^lhate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

Jeremiah 27:5-7

5 “It is I who ^mby my great power and my outstretched arm ⁿhave made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, ^oand I give it to whomever it seems right to me. 6 ^pNow I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, ^qmy servant, ^rand I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him. 7 ^sAll the nations shall serve him and ^this son and ^uhis grandson, ^vuntil the time of his own land comes. ^wThen many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.
