Ecclesiastes 4:8

8one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his aeyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, b“For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy cbusiness.

Ecclesiastes 6:1-2

1 dThere is an evil that I have seen under the sun, and it lies heavy on mankind: 2a man eto whom fGod gives wealth, possessions, and honor, so that he glacks nothing of all that he desires, yet God hdoes not give him power to enjoy them, but a stranger enjoys them. This is vanity;
The Hebrew term hebel can refer to a “vapor” or “mere breath”; also verses 4, 9, 11 (see note on 1:2)
it is a grievous evil.
