Luke 12:20-21

20 But God said to him, ^c‘Fool! ^dThis night ^eyour soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, ^fwhose will they be?’ 21 So is the one ^gwho lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”

Luke 12:33

33 ^hSell your possessions, and ⁱgive to the needy. ^jProvide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with ^ka treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

James 5:2-3

2 Peter 3:10-12

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, ^wwhat sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 ^xwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ^ythe heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
