Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore blet your words be few.
3For a dream comes with much business, and a fool’s voice with cmany words.

4When dyou vow a vow to God, edo not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. fPay what you vow. 5 gIt is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. 6Let not your mouth lead you
Hebrew your flesh
into sin, and do not say before ithe messenger
Or angel
that it was ka mistake. Why should God be angry at your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

Ezekiel 17:18-19

18He despised the oath in breaking the covenant, and behold, he gave his hand and did all these things; he shall not escape. 19Therefore thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely it is my oath that he despised, and my covenant that he broke. I will return it upon his head.
