Ecclesiastes 7:20

20Surely athere is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.

Romans 1:28-32

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, bGod gave them up to ca debased mind to do dwhat ought not to be done. 29They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Though they know eGod’s righteous decree that those who practice such things fdeserve to die, they not only do them but ggive approval to those who practice them.

Romans 2:1-16

God’s Righteous Judgment

1Therefore you have hno excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For iin passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourselfthat you will escape the judgment of God? 4Or do you presume on jthe riches of his kindness and kforbearance and lpatience, mnot knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are nstoring up owrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

6 pHe will render to each one according to his works: 7to those who qby patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8but for those who are self-seeking
Or contentious
and sdo not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
9There will be tribulation and distress tfor every human being who does evil, the Jew ufirst and also the Greek, 10but glory and honor and vpeace for everyone who does good, wthe Jew first and also the Greek. 11For xGod shows no partiality.

God’s Judgment and the Law

12For all who have sinned ywithout the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13For zit is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, aaby nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15They show that the work of the law is abwritten on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 acon that day when, adaccording to my gospel, God judges aethe secrets of men afby Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:9

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both aiJews and ajGreeks, are akunder sin,

Romans 3:19

19Now we know that whatever althe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, amso that every mouth may be stopped, and anthe whole world may be held accountable to God.

Romans 11:32

32For God aohas consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

Galatians 3:22

22But the Scripture apimprisoned everything under sin, so that aqthe promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given arto those who believe.

1 John 1:8-10

8 asIf we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and atthe truth is not in us. 9 auIf we confess our sins, he is avfaithful and just to forgive us our sins and awto cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say we have not sinned, axwe make him a liar, and ayhis word is not in us.
