Ecclesiastes 9:1

Death Comes to All

1But all this I laid to heart, examining it all, ahow the righteous and the wise and their deeds are bin the hand of God. Whether it is love or hate, man does not know; both are before him.

Haggai 1:6-11

6 cYou have sown much, and harvested little. dYou eat, but you never have enough; you drink, but you never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm. And he who eearns wages does so to put them into a bag with holes.

7Thus says the Lord of hosts: fConsider your ways. 8Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that gI may take pleasure in it and that hI may be glorified, says the Lord. 9 iYou looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, jI blew it away. Why? declares the Lord of hosts. Because of my house kthat lies in ruins, while each of you busies himself with his own house. 10Therefore lthe heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce. 11And mI have called for a drought on the land and the hills, on nthe grain, the new wine, the oil, on what the ground brings forth, on man and beast, and oon all their labors.”

Haggai 2:17-19

17 pI struck you and all the products of your toil with blight and with mildew and with hail, qyet you did not turn to me, declares the Lord. 18 rConsider from this day onward, sfrom the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. Since tthe day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid, uconsider: 19 vIs the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on wI will bless you.”

Zechariah 8:11-12

11But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as in the former days, declares the Lord of hosts. 12 xFor there shall be a sowing of peace. The vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, yand the heavens shall give their dew. zAnd I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Acts 11:20-21

20But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists
Or Greeks (that is, Greek-speaking non-Jews)
also, abpreaching the Lord Jesus.
21And acthe hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed adturned to the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:5-7

5What then is Apollos? What is Paul? aeServants through whom you believed, afas the Lord assigned to each. 6 agI planted, ahApollos watered, aibut God gave the growth. 7So ajneither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.
