1 ^pAnd you were ^qdead in the trespasses and sins 2 ^rin which you once walked, following the course of this world, following ^sthe prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ^tthe sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in ^uthe passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body ^{▼▼Greek flesh} and the mind, and ^wwere by nature ^xchildren of wrath, like the rest of mankind. ^{▼▼Greek like the rest} 4 But ^{▼▼Or And} God, being ^aarich in mercy, ^abbecause of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even ^acwhen we were dead in our trespasses, ^admade us alive together with Christ— ^aeby grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and ^afseated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable ^agriches of his grace in ^ahkindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For ^aiby grace you have been saved ^ajthrough faith. And this is ^aknot your own doing; ^alit is the gift of God, 9 ^amnot a result of works, ^anso that no one may boast. 10 For ^aowe are his workmanship, ^apcreated in Christ Jesus ^aqfor good works, ^arwhich God prepared beforehand, ^asthat we should walk in them.
