1 Timothy 4:1-3

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1 Now ^jthe Spirit expressly says that ^kin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^ldeceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of ^mliars whose consciences are seared, 3 ⁿwho forbid marriage and ^orequire abstinence from foods ^pthat God created ^qto be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

2 Timothy 3:5-9

False Prophets and Teachers

1 But ^affalse prophets also arose among the people, ^agjust as there will be false teachers among you, who will ^ahsecretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master ^aiwho bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth ^ajwill be blasphemed. 3 And ^akin their greed they will exploit you ^alwith false words. ^amTheir condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

2 Peter 2:18-19

18 For, ^anspeaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely ^aoescaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them ^apfreedom, ^aqbut they themselves are slaves ^{▼▼Greek bondservants} of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.
