1 Timothy 4:1-3

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1Now jthe Spirit expressly says that kin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to ldeceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2through the insincerity of mliars whose consciences are seared, 3 nwho forbid marriage and orequire abstinence from foods pthat God created qto be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

2 Timothy 3:5-9

5having the appearance of godliness, but rdenying its power. sAvoid such people. 6For among them are tthose who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7always learning and never able to uarrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8Just as vJannes and Jambres wopposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, xmen corrupted in mind and ydisqualified regarding the faith. 9But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, zas was that of those two men.

False Prophets and Teachers

1But affalse prophets also arose among the people, agjust as there will be false teachers among you, who will ahsecretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master aiwho bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth ajwill be blasphemed. 3And akin their greed they will exploit you alwith false words. amTheir condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

2 Peter 2:18-19

18For, anspeaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely aoescaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them apfreedom, aqbut they themselves are slaves
Greek bondservants
of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.
