Ephesians 6:5-8

Bondservants and Masters

5 aBondservants,
Or slaves; also verse 6 (for the contextual rendering of the Greek word doulos, see Preface)
obey your earthly masters
Or  your masters according to the flesh
with fear and trembling, dwith a sincere heart, eas you would Christ,
6not by the way of eye-service, as fpeople-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, 8 gknowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, hwhether he is a bondservant

or is free.

Colossians 3:22-25

22Bondservants,

obey kin everything those who are your earthly masters,
Or  your masters according to the flesh
not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
23 mWhatever you do, work heartily, nas for the Lord and not for men, 24knowing that from the Lord oyou will receive the inheritance as your reward. pYou are serving the Lord Christ. 25For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.

Titus 2:9

are to be submissive to their own masters sin everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,

1 Peter 2:17-20

17 tHonor everyone. uLove the brotherhood. vFear God. Honor the emperor.

18 wServants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. 19For this is a gracious thing, when, xmindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But yif when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.
