Esther 1:19

19If it please the king, let a royal order go out from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes so athat it may not be repealed, that Vashti is never again to come before King Ahasuerus. And let the king give her royal position to another who is better than she.

Esther 8:5

5And she said, “If it please the king, band if I have found favor in his sight, and if the thing seems right before the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let an order be written to revoke cthe letters devised by Haman dthe Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the provinces of the king.

Daniel 6:8

8Now, O king, establish ethe injunction and sign the document, so that it cannot be changed, according to fthe law of gthe Medes and the Persians, hwhich cannot be revoked.”

Daniel 6:12-15

12Then they icame near and said before the king, concerning the injunction, “O king! Did you not sign jan injunction, that anyone who makes petition to any god or man within thirty days except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing stands fast, according to the law of kthe Medes and Persians, lwhich cannot be revoked.” 13Then they answered and said before the king, mDaniel, who is one nof the exiles ofrom Judah, ppays no attention to you, O king, or qthe injunction you have signed, but makes his petition rthree times a day.”

14Then sthe king, when he heard these words, twas much distressed and set his mind to deliver Daniel. And he labored till the sun went down to rescue him. 15Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no uinjunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed.”

19But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: v“The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone wwho names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

Hebrews 6:17-18

17So when God desired to show more convincingly to xthe heirs of the promise ythe unchangeable character of his purpose, zhe guaranteed it with an oath, 18so that by two unchangeable things, in which aait is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope abset before us.
