8Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom. aTheir laws are different from those of every other people, and they do not keep the king’s laws, so that it is not to the king’s profit to tolerate them.

Esther 5:14

14Then bhis wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, c“Let a gallows
Or stake; twice in this verse
fifty cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
high be made, and in the morning tell the king to have Mordecai hanged upon it. Then go joyfully with the king to the feast.” This idea pleased Haman, and he had the gallows made.

Esther 9:25

25But when it came before the king, he gave orders in writing fthat his evil plan that he had devised against the Jews gshould return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

Proverbs 12:2

but a man of evil devices he condemns.

Isaiah 32:7

7As for the scoundrelayhis devices are evil;
he plans wicked schemes
to ruin the poor with lying words,
even when the plea of the needy is right.
