Esther Saves the Jews

1On that day King Ahasuerus gave to Queen Esther the house of Haman, cthe enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told dwhat he was to her. 2 eAnd the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Job 27:16-17

16Though he fheap up silver like dust,
and pile up clothing like clay,
17he may pile it up, but the righteous will wear it,
and gthe innocent will divide the silver.

Psalms 39:6

6Surely a man hgoes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing
Hebrew  Surely as a breath
they are in turmoil;
man jheaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!

Psalms 49:17-19

his glory will not go down after him.

—and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—

who will never again osee light.

6The righteous shall rsee and fear,
and shall slaugh at him, saying,
7See the man who would not make
God his refuge,
but ttrusted in the abundance of his riches
and sought refuge in his own destruction!”
