2 lSon of man, say to mthe prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God:

n“Because your heart is proud,
and oyou have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,’
yet pyou are but a man, and no god,
qthough you make your heart like the heart of a god
3 ryou are indeed wiser sthan tDaniel;
no secret is hidden from you;
4by your wisdom and your understanding
uyou have made wealth for yourself,
and have gathered gold and silver
into your treasuries;
5by your great wisdom in your trade
you have increased your wealth,
and vyour heart has become proud in your wealth
6therefore thus says the Lord God:
wBecause you make your heart
like the heart of a god,
7therefore, behold, I will bring xforeigners upon you,
the most ruthless of the nations;
and they shall draw their swords against ythe beauty of your wisdom
and defile zyour splendor.
8 aaThey shall thrust you down into the pit,
aband you shall die the death of the slain
in the heart of the seas.
9 acWill you still say, ‘I am a god,’
in the presence of those who kill you,
though adyou are but a man, and no god,
in the hands of those who slay you?
10 aeYou shall die the death of the uncircumcised
by the hand of foreigners;
affor I have spoken, declares the Lord God.”

And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, aluntil you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” 33Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. amHe was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles’ feathers, and his nails were like birds’ claws.
