Exodus 1:10-12

10 aCome, blet us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and, if war breaks out, they join our enemies and fight against us and escape from the land.” 11Therefore they set taskmasters over them cto afflict them with heavy dburdens. They built for Pharaoh estore cities, Pithom and fRaamses. 12But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And the Egyptians were in dread of the people of Israel.

2 Samuel 15:31

31And it was told David, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O Lord, please gturn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

2 Samuel 15:34

34But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, h‘I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father’s servant in time past, so now I will be your servant,’ then you will defeat for me the counsel of Ahithophel.

2 Samuel 17:14

14And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” iFor the Lord had ordained
Hebrew commanded
to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the Lord might bring harm upon Absalom.

2 Samuel 17:23

23When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and went off home to khis own city. He lset his house in order and mhanged himself, and he died and was buried in the tomb of his father.

Job 5:12-13

12He nfrustrates the devices of the crafty,
so that their hands achieve no success.
13He ocatches the wise in their own craftiness,
and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end.

the Lord holds them in derision.

Psalms 9:15

15 The nations have sunk in wthe pit that they made;
in xthe net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.
