Exodus 1:13-14

13So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel awork as slaves 14and bmade their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

Exodus 2:23-24

God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 cDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel dgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. eTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24And fGod heard their groaning, and God gremembered his covenant with hAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Judges 6:3-6

3For whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites and ithe Amalekites and jthe people of the East would come up against them. 4They would encamp against them kand devour the produce of the land, as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel and no sheep or ox or donkey. 5For they would come up with their livestock and their tents; they would come llike locusts in number—both they and their camels could not be counted—so that they laid waste the land as they came in. 6And Israel was brought very low because of Midian. And the people of Israel mcried out for help to the Lord.

2 Kings 10:32

32In those days the Lord nbegan to cut off parts of Israel. oHazael defeated them throughout the territory of Israel:

2 Kings 13:7

7For there was not left to Jehoahaz an army of more than fifty horsemen and ten chariots and ten thousand footmen, for the king of Syria had destroyed them and made them like the dust pat threshing.

2 Kings 13:22

22 qNow Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

2 Kings 14:26

26For the Lord rsaw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter, sfor there was none left, bond or free, and there was none to help Israel.
