Exodus 1:13-14

13So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel awork as slaves 14and bmade their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

Exodus 1:22

22Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, cEvery son that is born to the Hebrews
Samaritan, Septuagint, Targum; Hebrew lacks  to the Hebrews
you shall cast into ethe Nile, but you shall let every daughter live.”

Judges 4:3

3Then the people of Israel fcried out to the Lord for help, for he had g900 chariots of iron and he oppressed the people of Israel cruelly for twenty years.

Judges 6:2-6

2And the hand of Midian overpowered Israel, and because of Midian the people of Israel made for themselves the dens that are in the mountains and hthe caves and the strongholds. 3For whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites and ithe Amalekites and jthe people of the East would come up against them. 4They would encamp against them kand devour the produce of the land, as far as Gaza, and leave no sustenance in Israel and no sheep or ox or donkey. 5For they would come up with their livestock and their tents; they would come llike locusts in number—both they and their camels could not be counted—so that they laid waste the land as they came in. 6And Israel was brought very low because of Midian. And the people of Israel mcried out for help to the Lord.
