Exodus 1:13-14

13So they ruthlessly made the people of Israel awork as slaves 14and bmade their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

Exodus 5:5-9

5And Pharaoh said, “Behold, cthe people of the land are now many,
Samaritan they are now more numerous than the people of the land
and you make them rest from their burdens!”
6The same day Pharaoh commanded the etaskmasters of the people and their fforemen, 7“You shall no longer give the people straw to make bricks, as in the past; let them go and gather straw for themselves. 8But the number of bricks that they made in the past you shall impose on them, you shall by no means reduce it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifice to our God.’ 9Let heavier work be laid on the men that they may labor at it and pay no regard to lying words.”

Exodus 5:18

18Go now and work. No straw will be given you, but you must still deliver the same number of bricks.”

1 Samuel 8:18

18And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, gbut the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

Isaiah 47:6

6 hI was angry with my people;
I profaned my heritage;
I gave them into your hand;
iyou showed them no mercy;
on the aged you made your yoke exceedingly heavy.

Isaiah 58:6

6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:
jto loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps kof the yoke,
to let the oppressed
Or bruised
go free,
and to break every yoke?

Jeremiah 28:13-14

13Go, tell Hananiah, ‘Thus says the Lord: You have broken wooden bars, but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put upon the neck of all these nations man iron yoke to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, nand they shall serve him, ofor I have given to him even the beasts of the field.’”
