Exodus 1:14-16

14and amade their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and brick, and in all kinds of work in the field. In all their work they ruthlessly made them work as slaves.

15Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah, 16“When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live.”

Exodus 1:22

1 Samuel 22:17-19

2 Kings 15:16

16At that time Menahem sacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its territory from Tirzah on, because they did not open it to him. Therefore he sacked it, hand he ripped open all the women in it who were pregnant.

Esther 3:6-10

6But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone. So, as they had made known to him the people of Mordecai, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews, the people of Mordecai, throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus.

7In the first month, which is the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, kthey cast Pur (that is, they cast lots) before Haman day after day; and they cast it month after month till the twelfth month, which is lthe month of Adar. 8Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom. mTheir laws are different from those of every other people, and they do not keep the king’s laws, so that it is not to the king’s profit to tolerate them. 9If it please the king, let it be decreed that they be destroyed, and I will pay 10,000 talents
A  talent was about 75 pounds or 34 kilograms
of silver into the hands of those who have charge of the king’s business, that they may put it into the king’s treasuries.”
10 oSo the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman pthe Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, qthe enemy of the Jews.

Matthew 2:16

Herod Kills the Children

16Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men.
