17And the king said to fthe guard who stood about him, “Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because their hand also is with David, and they knew that he fled and did not disclose it to me.” But the servants of the king would not put out their hand to strike the priests of the Lord.1 Samuel 23:20
20Now come down, O king, according to all your heart’s desire to come down, gand our part shall be to surrender him into the king’s hand.”2 Kings 10:6-7
6Then he wrote to them a second letter, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you are ready to obey me, take the heads of your master’s sons and come to me at Jezreel tomorrow at this time.” Now the king’s sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, hwho were bringing them up. 7And as soon as the letter came to them, they took the king’s sons iand slaughtered them, seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel.
