The Eighth Plague: Locusts

1Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these signs of mine among them, 2and athat you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, bthat you may know that I am the Lord.”

Exodus 14:17-18

17And cI will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and dI will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen. 18And the Egyptians eshall know that I am the Lord, fwhen I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

Exodus 15:14-15

14 gThe peoples have heard; they tremble;
pangs have seized the inhabitants of Philistia.
15Now are the chiefs of Edom hdismayed;
trembling seizes the leaders of iMoab;
jall the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.

Exodus 18:10-11

10Jethro said, kBlessed be the Lord, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh and has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians. 11Now I know that lthe Lord is greater than all gods, because in this affair they mdealt arrogantly with the people.”

9and said to the men, “I know that the Lord has given you the land, oand that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land pmelt away before you. 10For we have heard how the Lord qdried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and rwhat you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to sSihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)

Joshua 9:9

9They said to him, u“From a very distant country your servants have come, because of the name of the Lord your God. vFor we have heard a report of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

1 Samuel 4:8

8Woe to us! Who can deliver us from the power of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with every sort of plague in the wilderness.
