Exodus 12:24-27

24 You shall observe this rite as a statute for you and for your sons forever. 25 And when you come to the land that the Lord will give you, ^aas he has promised, you shall keep this service. 26 And ^bwhen your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27 you shall say, ^c‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people ^dbowed their heads and worshiped.

Exodus 13:14-15

14 ^eAnd when in time to come your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you shall say to him, ^f‘By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of ^gslavery. 15 For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the ^hLord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of animals. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all the males that first open the womb, but ⁱall the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’

Psalms 22:31

31 they shall ^jcome and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet ^kunborn,
that he has done it.

Psalms 71:18

18 So even to ^lold age and gray hairs,
O God, ^mdo not forsake me,
until I proclaim your might to another generation,
your power to all those to come.

Psalms 78:3-6
