Exodus 12:26-27

26 And ^awhen your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27 you shall say, ^b‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people ^cbowed their heads and worshiped.

Exodus 13:14

14 ^dAnd when in time to come your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you shall say to him, ^e‘By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of ^fslavery.
