The Tenth Plague: Death of the Firstborn

29 ^aAt midnight the ^bLord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, ^cfrom the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians. And there was ^da great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where someone was not dead.

2 Samuel 24:16

16 And when ^ethe angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem ^fto destroy it, ^gthe Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel ^hwho was working destruction among the people, “It is enough; now stay your hand.” And ⁱthe angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of ^jAraunah the Jebusite.

1 Chronicles 21:12

21 And the Lord sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty warriors and commanders and officers in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with ^mshame of face to his own land. And when he came into the house of his god, some of his own sons struck him down there with the sword. 22 So the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Assyria and from the hand of all his enemies, and he provided for them on every side.
