Exodus 13:2

2 ^a“Consecrate to me all the firstborn. Whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine.”

Exodus 13:12-15

12 ^byou shall set apart to the Lord all that first opens the womb. All the firstborn of your animals that are males shall be the Lord’s. 13 ^cEvery firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. Every ^dfirstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem. 14 ^eAnd when in time to come your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you shall say to him, ^f‘By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of ^gslavery. 15 For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the ^hLord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of animals. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all the males that first open the womb, but ⁱall the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’

Exodus 34:19

Leviticus 27:26-27

26 “But a ^lfirstborn of animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the Lord, no man may dedicate; whether ox or sheep, it is the Lord’s. 27 And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back at the valuation, ^mand add a fifth to it; or, if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at the valuation.

Numbers 18:15-16

15 ⁿEverything that opens the womb of all flesh, whether man or beast, which they offer to the Lord, shall be yours. Nevertheless, ^othe firstborn of man you shall redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. 16 And their redemption price ^p(at a month old you shall redeem them) you shall fix at five shekels ^{▼▼A shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams} in silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, ^rwhich is twenty gerahs.

Deuteronomy 12:6
