Isaiah 43:1-2

Israel’s Only Savior

1 But now thus says the Lord,

tFear not, for I have redeemed you;
uI have called you by name, you are mine.
2 vWhen you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
wwhen you walk through fire xyou shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.

Isaiah 51:12-13

12 “I, I am he ywho comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of zman who dies,
of the son of man who is made aalike grass,
13and have forgotten the Lord, your Maker,
abwho stretched out the heavens
and aclaid the foundations of the earth,
and you fear continually all the day
because of the wrath of adthe oppressor,
when he sets himself to destroy?
And where is the wrath of aethe oppressor?
