Exodus 15:15

15Now are the chiefs of Edom adismayed;
trembling seizes the leaders of bMoab;
call the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.

Numbers 22:3-4

3And dMoab was in great dread of the people, because they were many. Moab was overcome with fear of the people of Israel. 4And Moab said to ethe elders of Midian, “This horde will now lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak the son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,

Numbers 24:14-18

14And now, behold, I am going to my people. Come, fI will let you know what this people will do to your people gin the latter days.”

Balaam’s Final Oracle

15 hAnd he took up his discourse and said,

“The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor,
the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
16the oracle of him who hears the words of God,
and knows the knowledge of ithe Most High,
who sees the vision of the Almighty,
jfalling down with his eyes uncovered:
17 kI see him, but not now;
I behold him, but not near:
la star shall come out of Jacob,
and ma scepter shall rise out of Israel;
it shall ncrush the forehead
Hebrew corners [of the head]
of Moab
and break down all the sons of Sheth.
18 pEdom shall be dispossessed;
qSeir also, his enemies, shall be dispossessed.
Israel is doing valiantly.
