Exodus 15:23-24

23When they came to aMarah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.
 Marah means bitterness
24And the people cgrumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”

Exodus 16:2-3

2And the whole congregation of the people of Israel dgrumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, 3and the people of Israel said to them, eWould that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, fwhen we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

Exodus 16:7

7and in the morning you shall see the gglory of the Lord, because he has heard your grumbling against the Lord. For hwhat are we, that you grumble against us?”

Exodus 16:9

9Then Moses isaid to Aaron, “Say to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, j‘Come near before the Lord, for he has heard your grumbling.’”

Exodus 17:2-3

2 kTherefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you ltest the Lord?” 3But the people thirsted there for water, and mthe people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”

Numbers 10:33

33So they set out from nthe mount of the Lord three daysjourney. And the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them three daysjourney, to seek out oa resting place for them.

Numbers 20:2-5

The Waters of Meribah

2 pNow there was no water for the congregation. qAnd they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. 3And the people rquarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had perished swhen our brothers perished before the Lord! 4Why have you brought the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness, that we should die here, both we and our cattle? 5And twhy have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.”

Numbers 21:5

5And the people uspoke against God and against Moses, vWhy have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and wwe loathe this worthless food.”

Deuteronomy 9:22

22“At xTaberah also, and at yMassah and at zKibroth-hattaavah you provoked the Lord to wrath.
