Exodus 15:23-25

23When they came to aMarah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah.
 Marah means bitterness
24And the people cgrumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25And he dcried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log,
Or tree
and he fthrew it into the water, and the water became sweet.

2 Kings 2:19-22

19Now the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.” 20He said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. 21Then he went to the spring of water and ithrew salt in it and said, “Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.” 22So the water has been healed to this day, according to the word that Elisha spoke.

Ezekiel 47:8-11

8And he said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into jthe Arabah, and enters the sea;
That is,  the Dead Sea
when the water flows into lthe sea, the water will become fresh.
Hebrew will be healed; also verses 9, 11
9And wherever the river goes,
Septuagint, Syriac, Vulgate, Targum; Hebrew  the two rivers go
every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea
Hebrew lacks  the waters of the sea
may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.
10Fishermen will stand beside the sea. From pEngedi to qEneglaim it will be a place for the spreading of nets. Its fish will be of very many kinds, like the fish of rthe Great Sea.
That is,  the Mediterranean Sea; also verses 15, 19, 20
11But its swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they are to be left for salt.
