Exodus 16:11-15

11And the Lord said to Moses, 12“I ahave heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, ‘At btwilight you shall eat meat, and cin the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.’”

13In the evening dquail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning edew lay around the camp. 14And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. 15When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, f“What is it?”

For they hdid not know what it was. And Moses said to them, i“It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.

Numbers 11:4-9

4Now the jrabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also kwept again and said, l“Oh that we had meat to eat! 5 mWe remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. 6But now our strength is dried up, and there is nothing at all but this manna to look at.”

7Now nthe manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like that of bdellium. 8 oThe people went about and gathered it and ground it in handmills or beat it in mortars and boiled it in pots and made cakes of it. pAnd the taste of it was like the taste of cakes baked with oil. 9 qWhen the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell with it.
