Exodus 17:6-7

6 ^aBehold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the name of the place ^bMassah ^{▼▼ Massah means testing} and ^dMeribah, ^{▼▼ Meribah means quarreling} because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Numbers 20:13

13 ^fThese are the waters of Meribah, ^{▼▼ Meribah means quarreling} where the people of Israel quarreled with the Lord, and through them he showed himself holy.

Numbers 20:24

24 ^h“Let Aaron be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land that I have given to the people of Israel, because ⁱyou rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.

Deuteronomy 33:8

8 And ^jof Levi he said,

and your Urim to your godly one,
